- How long will it take to receive my order?
- If you are ordering an in-stock item, then you can expect your order to ship within 1 business day via Priority Mail, which takes 1-3 business days to arrive. If you need your order NOW, just contact us at StepSisterPress@gmail.com and we can expedite your order for an additional fee.
- When will I receive my book if I order before the release date?
- If you’ve decided to purchase a book pre-release, thank you for your support and patience! Your order will ship within 2 business days of the book’s official release date, and you help us provide extra support to our authors and artists by choosing to make a purchase before the official release. Your order will ship via Priority Mail, which takes 1-3 business days to arrive, so add 5 business days to the official release to predict your book’s arrival date.
If you need your book sooner following release, email us at StepSisterPress@gmail.com and we can expedite your order for an additional fee.
- How can I learn more about the authors, artists, or StepSister Press?
- You can find out more about our company and all our contributors at StepSisterPress.com. Many of our artists and authors have their own websites, and you can find links to all their information on our site. If you have more questions about any of our projects, please email us at StepSisterPress@gmail.com
- Why would I buy a mug about a book?
- We sell promotional products for our books for a few reasons. One reason is that it absolutely makes an author’s day when everyone in the office is sporting a mug with the title of her new book. Another reason is that we like to treat our contributors like rock stars, and give a unique visual presence to their work’s public life. And finally, we sell these items in addition to our books because they help support the company and our artists in those long months of preparation that go into creating a book. So when you decide to buy a mug, you can tell people you helped a small company bootstrap the cash to create an important literary and artistic project.
- How does StepSister Press support its authors and artists?
- StepSister Press is an independent publishing company that supports its authors and artists through a traditional royalty system, so a percentage of your purchase price always goes to the folks with their names on the front of the book. You’ll also note certain projects with designated charitable goals; in these cases we are fortunate to work with voluntary contributors who believe in the project and the mission of our chosen organizations. We are not a subsidy press, so our authors and artists never give us money to publish their work, and any funding they may acquire has no bearing on our editorial review process.
- How can I get copies of a book to sell in my store?
- If you're a retailer wishing to carry our books, please contact us at StepSisterPress@gmail.com so we can help you order our books wholesale. You'll be given a discount code to use in our online store for easy ordering.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
